How often does test and tag need to be done?
It depends on the environment. Under AS/NZS 3760, an office with low risk equipment is generally on a five year cycle for new items and twelve months for others, while construction, demolition and mining sites are three monthly, and kitchens, workshops and high use areas typically sit between six and twelve months. We assess your site, set the correct interval per area, and give you a retest schedule so it does not fall through the cracks.
What happens if an appliance fails?
This is where we differ from a testing franchise. A tester red tags the item, removes it from service and leaves it for someone else. We are a licensed electrical contractor, so where the fault is repairable, for example a damaged lead, a faulty plug top or a loose connection, we repair it, retest it and retag it on the same visit. You get a compliant site at the end of the attendance, not a to do list.
Do you provide compliance certificates and an asset register?
Yes. Every job includes an itemised register of everything tested, pass and fail results, the repairs carried out, a compliance certificate and the next due date. Formatted so it stands up to an audit or an insurer request.
How much does it cost?
Every site is different, so we quote rather than guess. We look at the item count, the number of areas and how we get access, then confirm the cost with you before any work begins. There is no call out fee in standard hours, so getting a price does not cost you anything.

No call out fee in standard hours. You pay for the work carried out, not for the truck arriving.
Will testing disrupt our tenants?
That is usually the real question. We work per tenancy or per floor, agree access windows with your building manager first, and report per tenancy so you can recharge cleanly. Occupied floors, back of house and plant all get scheduled around how the building actually trades.
Can you work outside business hours?
We operate during standard business hours. In practice that works for most compliance testing, because we plan the visit around your building and stage it floor by floor or area by area so only one part of the site is affected at a time. If your site can only be accessed outside business hours, tell us upfront on 1300 045 103 and we will be straight with you about whether we are the right fit.

Yes, every technician. It is a requirement for the aged care, healthcare, education and secure commercial sites we work on, so we apply it everywhere.
Are you a testing company or an electrician?
We are a licensed electrical contractor, NSW licence 180022C, that carries out compliance testing. That means we can test your site and also carry out switchboard work, RCD replacement, fixed wiring and repairs. A test and tag franchise cannot do the second half.
